This piece was made because I was suffering from anxiety and desperately wanted to find a safe space inside my head.
My inspiration was a vast and serene pool, guarded by towering pillars jutting into the sky. To me, that was the safest and calmest place I could think of, and I believed painting it in my physical reality could help me create it mentally.
It didn't solve all my problems in the moment, but whenever I look at it now, I do feel a lot calmer! -
