Crossing the Threshold was made with the idea of entering a new phase in your life.
I had just graduated college and knew that a new period of my life was about to begin, but had no idea what that was going to look like. I was an art major, naive and excited for the opportunity to pursue my dreams, yet nervous and scared for the unknown obstacles ahead.
I wanted to make a piece that seemed like I was in a dark place, about to reach for the light. But at the same time, it would seem like I had already entered a dark place, and was looking at the pinprick of light disappearing behind me.
